Scope and roles
Plaiced LLC offers curated programmatic media, managed execution, audience licensing and distribution, and related services. Dedicated clean-room collaboration may be arranged under a project-specific agreement. This notice concerns personal information used in connection with those services, including pseudonymous information that may still be personal information under applicable law.
Plaiced may act as a controller for some uses and as a processor or service provider when working under a customer’s instructions. The applicable role, contract and any additional customer notice determine the obligations for a particular campaign.
Information and sources
The platform may receive licensed consumer segments and other data from supply-side platforms, exchanges, data providers and customers. Segments can include pseudonymous identifiers connected to online or offline attributes, such as IP addresses, browsing or content activity, demographic or geographic information and inferred interests.
Potential identifiers used in advertising services can include cookie IDs, hashed email addresses, mobile advertising IDs and other pseudonymous IDs. Pseudonymized information is not necessarily anonymous: it can still relate to a person and is handled accordingly.
The licensed consumer data described here is different from the name, company and message that someone voluntarily sends through Plaiced’s public contact form.
How services information may be used
Subject to applicable law and customer arrangements, information may be used to support curated media and managed advertising transactions, create, license or distribute audience segments, facilitate agreed data collaboration, audience measurement and analytics, improve products, authenticate users, resolve identifiers where permitted, detect fraud, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
Ad buyers and their platforms may use segments for targeted advertising. Information submitted through Plaiced’s public contact form is covered separately by the website privacy policy.
Disclosure, sale and sharing
Data may be disclosed to customers, advertising platforms, supply-side platforms, data partners and service providers where needed to operate the services. Some disclosures of pseudonymous segments may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising under applicable US state privacy laws, even where traditional monetary sales are not involved.
The categories of recipients and the role of each party depend on the services and transaction involved.
Sensitive information and children
Certain data categories may be considered sensitive under applicable law. Their use, if any, is subject to applicable consent requirements and use restrictions. This policy does not permit the use of sensitive information or data relating to children in violation of applicable law.
Privacy rights and requests
Where applicable, individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain information about personal data, and to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling. The exact rights and exceptions depend on the law and whether Plaiced or a customer controls the data.

Include enough detail to identify the request, but do not send passwords or sensitive documents by ordinary email. We may need to verify identity or direct a request to the responsible controller.

Retention, security and transfers
Retention periods for services data depend on the applicable agreement, technical configuration and legal requirements. We do not state a single retention period for every category of data.
We take reasonable steps to safeguard data processed through the services. Cross-border processing, when applicable, is subject to relevant legal and contractual requirements.
